I've never had a Creator's Block, at least not in the classical sense. There have been plenty of times where my work hasn't quite progressed the way it should.  I've had days where I've sat down in front of my palette and for hours continuously produced dreck. I don't consider that a major problem though. For every good idea there are an unknown number of rough drafts.  More commonly I won't have the skill set that I need to truly represent my mind's eye the way I would like. Maybe I'm impatient or possibly I just have too many creative mediums I'm interested in and few I'm skilled at. What ultimately contributes to a lack of quality work is

Happy Tuesday

Happy Tuesday to you! It has been a busy week. Mostly I've been hoofing it at work; we had a lot of aircraft to work on over the weekend. Actually had A-10 Warthogs come through. It is always good to see my old birds again. Amongst all the maintenance turmoil I was still able to eeak out a little bit of my own work. I posted 4 8bit RPG characters and even animated one. This was my first try at .gif animation and I believe it turned out fairly well. It does take a while though so I won't animate all of my sprites. What I'll focus on is making only one or two poses for each character and then moving on to another so I don't get too bored. I'll

Chain Reaction

One good act of creativity seems to spawn a couple more. I finally put some old game designs down to paper that have been milling in my head for years. The great thing is I can focus a little better now. I was able to move on and start a long list of interesting character archetypes for games with my wife. It began as a silly naming game while we were sitting in bed. But, we both got carried away and now the list is now up to 94. I've decided to run with it and once we hit 100 it'll go back through and flesh each one out. The next day I was wondering why video games and pixel art so fond to me.
